Wedding Fans, specifically hand fans, have several purposes. They, of course, help your guests offset the heat of a potentially very hot, outside wedding. But they also: 1) add to the décor if they match the wedding theme and 2) generate excitement for the guests and the bride and groom as they are waved!
But before you order your custom wedding fans these are things you should look for:
The ability to customize your fans through:
· Your Text. Look for someone who allows your more than just your name and date.
· Font Style. Font, like color and style, help to set a mood and a theme. So being able to pick a font style that feels 'right for you' is important.
· Embellishments. Being able to embellish your fans with extras such as ribbon is a real plus. Sometimes it's that extra splash of color or flourish that sets your fans apart from others
Cardstock on each side of your wedding fan: Although not a make-or-break deal if you find the fan of your dreams and two-sided cardstock isn't offered. However it is an elegant touch if the end of the stick to hold the fan doesn't show.
A vendor that provides an electronic text proof before they print: This is essential. You want everything about your wedding perfect, including your wedding fans. And since they are custom made there is no returning them once received. So insist that the person or company you purchase your fans from send you an image for your written approval prior to printing them.
